Daze in a Maze

We hopped in the car Sunday and drove over to a farm about 45 miles from here where they have a Daze in the Maze. It is one of those places where you wander around, and around, and around and hope you can find your way out. I sat down at a picnic table and let the daughter and grandson do that. This is a real nice place that is open from Labor day to Thanksgiving. They have a smaller maze, volley ball spot, picnic area, and they give pony rides, a hay ride, there is a petting zoo and they have a sand pile where kids can dig for dinosaur (not real) bones. We got through just in time as a light rain started falling.

I enjoy going to those mazes. I like the haunted ones.
There is usually a very large maze in this area every year, but have not heard about it this year. Probabley because of all the rain we have had. I personally don't want to go in one. :)
I love mazes. I wish they did them in my area.

the corn is still green there - most of it is brown here in Illinois.
We have a permanent maze at the arboretum nearby. I've been in it a few times and still get lost.
When I lived on the farm, one of my greatest joys was to go into the fully grown corn field and wander around, trying to get lost or hiding from my little sister.
Now--my back and leg would hurt so much I'd have to sit at a picnic table and let the kids do it too.
Ain't no fun getting old!
Happy Halloween! This looks like a fun place!!
