I decided I wanted to give my thoughts and words to the world and hope they have some meaning and memories to grandparents (and others) everywhere. I am a retired civil servant (35.5 years with the Department of the Air Force), mother of two and grandmother of five. My maiden name was Scaling and I was married to Tilford N. Tucker. I raised and put two great children through college so I have a lot of experiences to build on. Monday, July 6, 2009Weekend Treasures Check out more items at Southern Hospitality  There weren't but about three garage sales on Saturday and besides that it poured rainin the morning. So I got this cute trunk at a Thrift Shop for $7.  Finally when the rain stopped I got three heavy bird houses for $1 each.Now if someone will move in.  I did find this cute frame for $1.50. Not much for a weekendbut after all it was a holiday.

Love those birdhouses! They look very sturdy and well-built. The wicker frame is nice too. Can't wait 'til this weekend, when I'm sure there will be lots of garage sales again!

You always find the cutest things for not much money. I think they have better stuff there than here.
The trunk is my favorite. It is adorable.
Oh Retired One: We only go in the summer and there are days I don't even get out of the car. I do have a lot of stuff but each year we have a garage sale and I sell a lot of my stuff so I can go get more. LOL
I do the same thing. I'm always recycling my finds to make room for new ones. It's just the gypsy in me:-)
I love your bird feeders! Those are really nice.
Great finds! Those birdhouses are adorable! For $1.00 each is a great bargain! The trunk is adorable!

Oh, I'm a sucker for birdhouses too. Not the ornamental kind but the real ones that birds will actually build in. You got a great deal. I just love that wicker mirror too. Great finds!
