Welcome to the Ann Tucker Blog!

Welcome to my personal blog. Thanks to my son for building this neat blog page. I decided I wanted to give my thoughts and words to the world and hope they have some meaning and memories to grandparents (and others) everywhere. I am a retired civil servant (35.5 years with the Department of the Air Force), mother of two and grandmother of five. My maiden name was Scaling and I was married to Tilford N. Tucker. I raised and put two great children through college so I have a lot of experiences to build on. After retirement I became a webmaster (working for my son) for some of our family websites: ShaggyDuck
Have a fun time and a great day, bookmark this site and come back often!!!!

Weekend Treasures

Be sure and click on the logo above and see
what others got this weekend.

We HAD a garage sale at my daughters yard this
weekend.
Two days of over 100 degree heat but
we did have a breeze,
giant trees and a tent deal
to sit under. We had 4 families
of stuff so I had to
get my deals at my own sale. I got this coke
clock
for my sons office for $5.

I couldn't pass up this box of giant light bulbs.
There are only
4 but that's enough for the front
of my pond this Christmas.
This was $1.

I also got more things for my son. He is a graphic
artist
that does cartoon logos world wide on the
internet and has
a great business. Since he loves
the cartoon stuff I got
this set of ceramic Disney
hand bookends and below I
got him these wooden
dice and dominos for his office shelves.

The bookends and the wooden objects were all for $1.

As for the sale, each family did real well getting rid of a lot of junk.

Great finds, especially the giant bulbs. I like the idea of you putting them by your pond. I bet they will look pretty, reflecting in the water. Wish I could see a picture of that!

I love that you post what you got at garage sales! I am an addict myself..but have been trying to lay low on them over the last month. (I am running out of room!) so I can live vicariously through your posts. ha
