Welcome to the Ann Tucker Blog!

Welcome to my personal blog. Thanks to my son for building this neat blog page. I decided I wanted to give my thoughts and words to the world and hope they have some meaning and memories to grandparents (and others) everywhere. I am a retired civil servant (35.5 years with the Department of the Air Force), mother of two and grandmother of five. My maiden name was Scaling and I was married to Tilford N. Tucker. I raised and put two great children through college so I have a lot of experiences to build on. After retirement I became a webmaster (working for my son) for some of our family websites: ShaggyDuck
Have a fun time and a great day, bookmark this site and come back often!!!!

Weekend Garage Sale Treasures

Click on the picture above and
Check out what Rhoda found and all the yard salers
and what they found this weekend

Well we really had a good Saturday of garage sales. First off I got a like brand new 4 piece wicker furniture set (the really expensive kind, 2 chairs, sofa and table) for only $75.
I got the two little sitters for 50 cents each.

Next house I found a carpet that matches the furniture almost perfectly ($20). So I have replaced some well worn old wicker furniture on my front porch with really nice like new.

The two Halloween yard decorations were two for $5 (they stick in the ground and their arms move in the wind).

I got four darling tea cups or soup cups for $1 each and they are "Mud Pies" brand and darling.

I got my granddaughter two words that sit on a shelf (no picture) one is DREAM and the other BELIEF. I got two small photo albums 50 cents each, a summer purse $2 and the note pad 25 cents. I also got a roll of outdoor carpet for under my carport by the door (no pic for $7.50). My daughter got lots of things, and my grandson even found some toys he liked --we really had a great day.

What great buys you all made. I saw some stuff I would have bought that you all found. I am a garage sale, yard sale, estate sale, person, too. I seldom buy anything new anymore!

What a fantastic deal on the wicker set.....I'm so jealous. I'm looking for patio furniture, no luck so far, but a great excuse to keep shopping :)

Yep, love that wicker! I have seen some great deals on it too & love to find things like that. I'm stocked up on wicker, just waiting for a porch to use it on.

I like the halloween decorations. and the cups. I don't do garage sales though. I've got too much stuff as it is.
