Welcome to the Ann Tucker Blog! Welcome to my personal blog. Thanks to my son for building this neat blog page. I decided I wanted to give my thoughts and words to the world and hope they have some meaning and memories to grandparents (and others) everywhere. I am a retired civil servant (35.5 years with the Department of the Air Force), mother of two and grandmother of five. My maiden name was Scaling and I was married to Tilford N. Tucker. I raised and put two great children through college so I have a lot of experiences to build on. Sunday, May 10, 2009True Story My daughter and I had been using the vacuum at the car wash, and prepared to leave when this woman walked up carrying banana nut bread loaves. She was selling them to raise money for some sort of help for homeless people or something. She asked if we wanted to purchase a loaf and proudly told us they were homemade and that "we peeled our own bananas!" (like you can buy a jar of bananas at the store!...)

Wow! With their very own hands?
What a clever lady. Crucially though, did she peel from the 'top' like us humans do or did she peel from the black bit at the bottom like monkeys and apes do?
I would be afraid of the hygiene of the loaves, too. Who knows what conditions they were made?
Ironically, as I read your post, I have banana muffins in the oven. I opened the package all my myself. ha
Nice, peeled their own banana's huh? My beagle can do the same thing and he doesn't have thumbs!
