Welcome to the Ann Tucker Blog!

Welcome to my personal blog. Thanks to my son for building this neat blog page. I decided I wanted to give my thoughts and words to the world and hope they have some meaning and memories to grandparents (and others) everywhere. I am a retired civil servant (35.5 years with the Department of the Air Force), mother of two and grandmother of five. My maiden name was Scaling and I was married to Tilford N. Tucker. I raised and put two great children through college so I have a lot of experiences to build on. After retirement I became a webmaster (working for my son) for some of our family websites: ShaggyDuck
Have a fun time and a great day, bookmark this site and come back often!!!!

Is She Like Santa Claus?

Well this little man lost his first tooth last night (his adult teeth were already coming in behind the baby teeth). When I picked up my daughter this morning for garage sales, she was livid. She told me she had been up until 4 this morning and so had Mr Wiggle Tooth!! It seems he was awaiting the ever illusive tooth fairy. A conversation had gone on almost all night about what color is the tooth fairy, does she fly, walk or ride something, what does she look like, are you sure she will leave me money under my pillow. When he got into the car this morning, with his $3, he was so excited and told me he had felt her move the pillow when she left the money. He just knew it. For now we have one more loose one down there on the bottom ready to fall out at any minute.

That's classic! Hopefully he'll sleep better for the future teeth. Enjoy!

I love how kids see something so magical about the Tooth Fairy. And also something so capitalistic about losing a tooth. God bless 'em.

My son is 36 and I still remember when he was around 6 he lost a tooth. I always had him put his tooth in an envelope so I could find it better. I went in to get the envelope from undder his pillow, pulled it out and woke him. He had tied the envelope to his wrist.....he wanted to meet with tooth fairy.
