Welcome to the Ann Tucker Blog!

Welcome to my personal blog. Thanks to my son for building this neat blog page. I decided I wanted to give my thoughts and words to the world and hope they have some meaning and memories to grandparents (and others) everywhere. I am a retired civil servant (35.5 years with the Department of the Air Force), mother of two and grandmother of five. My maiden name was Scaling and I was married to Tilford N. Tucker. I raised and put two great children through college so I have a lot of experiences to build on. After retirement I became a webmaster (working for my son) for some of our family websites: ShaggyDuck
Have a fun time and a great day, bookmark this site and come back often!!!!

Got A Phobia?

A phobia is an intense fear of something that poses no actual danger. While awareness that the fears are irrational, phobics often find that facing, or even thinking about facing the feared situation brings on a panic attack or severe anxiety.

# Ablutophobia: Fear of washing or bathing
# Anemophobia: Fear of wind
# Anthrophobia: Fear of flowers
# Bogyphobia: Fear of the bogeyman
# Chromatophobia: Fear of colors
# Chronophobia: Fear of time
# Ereuthophobia: Fear of the color red
# Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia: Fear of long words (You think?)
# Lachanophobia: Fear of vegetables (like your broccoli is going to jump up and eat you?)
# Nebulaphobia: Fear of fog
# Neophobia: Fear of anything new (wish my granddaughter had this fear about new clothes)
# Octophobia: Fear of the number 8 (Hope Octomom doesn't have one!!)
# Phronemophobia: Fear of thinking
# Anablephobia: Fear of looking up
# Arachibutyrophobia: Fear of peanut butter sticking to the roof of the mouth.
# Barophobia: Fear of gravity
# Dendrophobia: Fear of trees
# Graphophobia: Fear of writing

I'll take "Phronemophobia: fear of thinking" for $200 thanks Gran.

Especially during work time. Sometimes I think my brain actually refuses to operate on some weekdays. It's starting to get embarrassing.

I might have Nebulaphobia (fear of fog). It makes me feel as if the zombies are going to come out and get me.

I guess I would have orinthophobia ( fear of ducks).

But I was attacked by a swan thing. Hateful hateful little beast. I ran and left my oldest to fend for herself. Don't worry she doesn't exhibit any signs that show I abandoned her during the attack. Geesh she was three...
