Welcome to the Ann Tucker Blog!

Welcome to my personal blog. Thanks to my son for building this neat blog page. I decided I wanted to give my thoughts and words to the world and hope they have some meaning and memories to grandparents (and others) everywhere. I am a retired civil servant (35.5 years with the Department of the Air Force), mother of two and grandmother of five. My maiden name was Scaling and I was married to Tilford N. Tucker. I raised and put two great children through college so I have a lot of experiences to build on. After retirement I became a webmaster (working for my son) for some of our family websites: ShaggyDuck
Have a fun time and a great day, bookmark this site and come back often!!!!

Weather Service Was A Bit Off......

Well the forecaster was a little off. No huge blizzard but it was a pretty snow. The only bad thing is it rained and froze before the snow so there is a layer of ice under the snow and most of the baby trees, hedges and flowers are weighted down. Hope they don't get broken off. It's like a black and white day outside as you can see. I know folks who had those awful snows this winter are laughing but Oklahoma hardly ever has snow let alone snow in almost April!!! P.S. It has already been 70 degrees here.

Those trees look like illustrations. Interesting weather.

Wow. Pretty..but pretty common where I live..In the Upper Peninsula of Michigan (way above the mitten part of Michigan, right on Lake Superior).
Our warmest day yet was one or two in the low 50's and they didn't last. The last few weeks have been in the 30's.
Today when we got up it was in the teens. (sigh)
We haven't even had our first meltdown yet...all is still white.
But, better off than the flooding going on in the Dakotas!!!

Glad to hear you avoided the blizzard. A little April snow would be nice although the rain/freeze mix is no fun. Good pictures. Thanks!
