Probability?????

What are the chances? What is the definition of the word "probability"?
Probability, or chance, is a way of expressing knowledge or belief that an event will occur or has occurred. In mathematics the concept has been given an exact meaning in probability theory, that is used extensively in such areas of study as mathematics, statistics, finance, gambling, science, and philosophy to draw conclusions about the likelihood of potential events and the underlying mechanics of complex systems.
Here are some laws of probability that we have all experienced at one time or another:
Law of Probability -The probability of being watched is directly proportional to the stupidity of your act.
Law of Close Encounters -The probability of meeting someone you know increases dramatically when you are with someone you don't want to be seen with.
Wilson's Law of Commercial Marketing Strategy - As soon as you find a product that you really like, they will stop making it.
Variation Law - If you change lines (or traffic lanes), the one you were in will always move faster than the one you are in now (works every time).
Law of the Bath - When the body is fully immersed in water, the telephone rings.
Do you have one that seems to have attached itself to you?

When I'm in the shower, never fails that someone rings the doorbell... I've stopped showering.
Those are all so true. LOL
And you can't outsmart these laws. At the store lines, my daughter will wait in one line, while I'm in another. Both lines will either require a "price check" or someone's debit card isn't working so they have to fumble for money or write a check.
Memory Loss Law: As soon as you think of a wonderful blogging idea in the middle of the night in bed, you get out of bed in the morning, and can never remember it!
The last two pertain to me. Also, every time I sit down to eat a meal someone knocks on the door or the phone rings. Same thing if I try to sleep late in the morning. Great post!
