Welcome to the Ann Tucker Blog!

Welcome to my personal blog. Thanks to my son for building this neat blog page. I decided I wanted to give my thoughts and words to the world and hope they have some meaning and memories to grandparents (and others) everywhere. I am a retired civil servant (35.5 years with the Department of the Air Force), mother of two and grandmother of five. My maiden name was Scaling and I was married to Tilford N. Tucker. I raised and put two great children through college so I have a lot of experiences to build on. After retirement I became a webmaster (working for my son) for some of our family websites: ShaggyDuck
Have a fun time and a great day, bookmark this site and come back often!!!!

Election Time "What If" List

Have you ever written a "what if" list? With all the politics going on I thought this would make great subject matter for a "what if" list. If you have something you would like to add to the list just park your remarks in the comments spot (please keep it clean).

What if:

The candidates will not leave Washington to campaign.
We only had to listen to 1 debate and 1 speech on tv before elections.
Candidates could only spend their own money on campaigning or limit their funds to $5,000.
The Democrats and Republicans hold their conventions in a Washington stadium with no frills .
The candidates would stop promising things they can't make happen.

The president would be elected by the vote rather than the electoral college.

The candidates spent all that campaigning money on something worthwhile.

Great idea Ann! What if the candidates were not allowed to say anything bad about each other and only talk about what they are going to do for the people while in office.
